December is here, and so is the Spirit of Giving. I know many crocheters have already been crocheting some of their gifts for friends & family, but let’s take it a step further, shall we? Your mission is to give the gift of crochet this holiday season, not just to those you know, but for someone you don’t know as well. There’s hospitals that need baby hats, shelters that need mittens, strangers who just need a little holiday spirit (in crochet form, of course!). Perhaps you could teach someone to crochet. Or maybe there’s a bagger at your local grocery store who always bags your items just the way you like them. No matter who it is, pick someone to add to your gift-giving list–someone who isn’t a family member or a friend–crochet him or her or them a small item, gift it, then share the love with the rest of us. Tell the rest of the Stitch-Stirrers how your crocheting holiday is going.
Be sure to link back to this thread with a link to your response so others can find you easily!
This will be the last prompt of the year since so many of us are trying to get those gifts finished in time for giving. But stay tuned: Stitch-Stirrers will start the new year off and running with a year-long challenge that will be posted on January 1st.
Happy Holidays!

I’m probably not crocheting for anyone else in December but your post did prompt me to get off my butt and call the local battered women shelter and see if they could use yarn and needles and hooks. I’m taking a big bag over there from my stash later this week after I get a chance to get out and buy a few more balls of kitchen cotton and simply soft and a couple more hooks to add in.
Sleepycat! That is an awesome plan. I will get around to doing something. Sorry I’ve not been a good stitch stirrer lately……
BUT I”VE FELT GUILTY about it
LOL
I will consider this now that things are kind of evening out a little.

I highly recommend Bev’s Marvelous Mittens pattern – 1 pair in >2 hours.
