It seems that most crocheters feel the same about hooks as they do yarn: You can never have too much of a good thing. Do you own a multitude or just a few? Which out of the hooks you own is your absolute favorite–that one hook you couldn’t live without? What makes that hook so special?

I have lots of hooks. But they are alumnium and steel.I’m in constant search for diferent kinds of hooks. There aren’t eny plastic/wooden/bamboo ones here.Until I find one, I will settle with those that I allready have.
My favourite size is “k”. Its the size I’m most comfortable with, and its the first size I grab for. I have a dark grey Boye hook (size K, of course) which is my favourite hook. Theres not really a story to go with it , its just the first hook I look for when I want to start a project.
I have lots of hooks, but I do have favorites. http://bonniespins.wordpress.com/2007/11/07/hooks-and-more-hooks/
My hooks
i prefer “f” hooks…but oooh I just got an R tunisian wood hook from Stitch Diva in Oakland…and it’s my NEW FAVORITE FREAKING TOY…soz…LOL…but I made a scarf in 20 min.
GRIN…It’s awesome.
My favorite is a handcarved wooden hook, seconded by the Addi Turbo hooks.
I have a couple of plastic hooks but I really don’t like them. I find that they “stick” as they go through the yarn. I much prefer metal. My favorite size really depends on the yarn but I like G quite a bit. I always check for new kinds of hooks at the craft store. I may order some bamboo to see how they work, since the small metal can be tiresome on my hands.
